Saga SS-10 Traditional 5-String Open-Back Banjo in excellent condition. It is a quality import take on a Bart-Reiter Standard and on par with Goldtone and Goodtime banjos in terms of the quality to value ratio (these are sold out at Elderly Music at the $420 price). For now, I have Aquila Nylgut Reds on it, which are absoulutely great. Upgraded Gold-tone Straightline banjo tailpiece improves tone by creating a break angle for the strings that increases pressure on the bridge. Vintage-inspired design. 11" diameter rim of 3/8" maple, w/ simple brass hoop tone ring, 24 tension hook pattern, classic tailpiece and frosted Remo head. Mahogany neck w/ rosewood fingerboard, adjustable truss rod, planet-pegs, geared 5th peg. ~26-3/8" scale. A nice old-timey banjo.
