Inventory Mgt Specialist

This position is in a Consolidated Patient Accounts Center (CPAC) in the organization of the Chief Financial Officer (CFO) serving as an Inventory Management Specialist. The Inventory Management Specialist is responsible for inventory Management of all CPAC supplies and equipment. The incumbent performs analytical work to manage, regulate, coordinate or otherwise exercise control over supplies and equipment, and also determines , regulates and controls the level of flow of expendable /non-expendable supplies or class of material. Duties Include:
Computes requirements for assigned stocked items. Prepare recommendations for procurement of equipment and materials. Analyzes stock levels and usage schedules to determine funds required and execute budget plans for assigned inventory. Interrogates databases to obtain adequate and pertinent data. Resolves problem in flow of stock to support new or unique equipment. Implement federal and agency programs for return and re-utilization. Of equipment. Identify and resolve failure rates to critical items. Receives, locates, stores, ships and re-warehouse materials, commodities, or equipment. Maintains and arranges storage areas To qualify for this position, applicants must meet all requirements by the closing date of this announcement, 12/11/2020. Time-In-Grade Requirement:
Applicants who are current Federal employees and have held a GS grade any time in the past 52 weeks must also meet time-in-grade requirements by the closing date of this announcement. For a GS-11 position you must have served 52 weeks at the GS-09. The grade may have been in any occupation, but must have been held in the Federal service. An SF-50 that shows your time-in-grade eligibility must be submitted with your application materials. If the most recent SF-50 has an effective date within the past year, it may not clearly demonstrate you possess one-year time-in-grade, as required by the announcement. In this instance, you must provide an additional SF-50 that clearly demonstrates one-year time-in-grade. Note:

Specialized
Experience:
You must have one year of specialized experience equivalent to at least the next lower grade GS-09 in the normal line of progression for the occupation in the organization. Examples of specialized experience would typically include, but are not limited to:
Analytical work in managing, regulating, coordinating, or otherwise exercising control over supplies, equipment, or other material. Work that includes one or more phases of material management including initial planning, provisioning and requirements determination, acquisition and distribution, accountability, and ultimate issue for consumption, retention, or disposal. Knowledge of acquisition processes, automated records and control systems, material substitution criteria, and storage, issue, and disposal processes. Expertise in evaluating effectiveness and efficiency of Inventory Management issues and problems. Ability to interpret policy direction for specific operating requirements, develop guidance for applying supply policy, procedures, techniques, equipment, and methods. OR, Education:
Applicants may substitute education for the required experience. To qualify based on education for this grade level you must have PhD. or 3 full years of progressively higher level graduate education leading to such a degree or LL.M., if related. Such education must demonstrate the knowledge, skills, and abilities necessary to do the work. (Transcripts Required) . OR, Combination:

You must have an combination of specialized experience and education beyond graduate education and specialized experience directly related to the work of the Inventory Management Specialist position, which may be used to meet the experience requirements for GS-11 position You will be rated on the following Competencies for this position:

Physical Requirements:
Work is both sedentary and upright. Could stand on hard surfaces that require normal safety precautions of such places as offices, meeting and training rooms, private or commercial vehicles. Work is done inside and outside could be hot, cold, damp or drafty. The work area is adequately lighted, heated and ventilated. The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
