Supply Technician

Duties are but not limited to:
Transportation Support Arranges transportation for or performs other actions in connection with the movement of freight, passengers, or personal property by government or commercial means. Makes travel arrangements from basic information from the traveler, such as itinerary and stated preferences, destination and times. Purchasing Support Performs clerical level work to acquire supplies and services to meet the purchase, rental, or lease needs of an organization. Purchases a variety of items and services using various established contracts or agreements. Uses different solicitation methods, ordering or reporting procedures, purchasing methods, or clauses and provisions depending on the type, quantity, dollar value, or urgency of the requirement. Procurement Support Performs clerical or technical level work to procure supplies and services to meet the procurement requirements of an organization. Processes procurement transactions of a standardized nature involving different and unrelated procedures and methods. Provides assist in procurement support work throughout the procurement cycle by monitoring the status of deliveries, and/or preparing information for closing out contracts. Work Schedule:

Applicants who are current Federal employees and have held a GS grade any time in the past 52 weeks must also meet time-in-grade requirements by the closing date of this announcement. For a GS-05 position you must have served 52 weeks at the GS-04. The grade may have been in any occupation, but must have been held in the Federal service. An SF-50 that shows your time-in-grade eligibility must be submitted with your application materials. If the most recent SF-50 has an effective date within the past year, it may not clearly demonstrate you possess one-year time-in-grade, as required by the announcement. Specialized
Experience:
You must have one year of specialized experience equivalent to at least the next lower grade GS-04 in the normal line of progression for the occupation in the organization. Examples of specialized experience would typically include, but are not limited to:
providing supplies and material to clinical and administrative areas of a complex health care facility; scanning, bar-coding, receiving, storing and distributing medical and surgical supplies, instruments and other material; monitoring expiration dates; cleaning assigned areas in accordance with aseptic principles; utilizing an automated system to maintain inventory; and answer customer questions regarding supplies and materials. OR, Education:
Applicants may substitute education for the required experience. To qualify based on education for this grade level you must have four years of education above the high school level obtained in an accredited business, secretarial or technical school, junior college, college or university. OR, Combination:
Applicants may also combine education and experience to qualify at this level. You must have an combination of specialized experience and education beyond Applicants may also combine education and experience to qualify at this level. You must have a combination of education and experience which may be used to qualify for this position if the computed percentage of the requirements is at least 100%. To compute the percentage of the requirements, divide your total months of experience by 12. Then divide your semester hours of education beyond two years (total semester hours minus 60) by 60. Physical Requirements:
The work at times is sedentary, but the employee is also responsible for maintaining the stock room in support of Environmental Services. The work involves sitting, walking, standing, bending, lifting and carrying light to heavy items such as paper, consumable supplies, parts, or reams of paper. No special physical demands are required to perform the work assistance and personal protective equipment is available if need. Don't Be Fooled

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
