Supv Program Analyst

Supervisory authority over 20-30 Program Support Assistants within the Veteran's Services Department. Responsible for ensuring that the CPAC's strategic plan, goals and objectives are communicated to team members. Assures that all pertinent information is gathered and entered into the appropriate VistA database timely, in order to provide a more complete and accurate receivables database. Oversees the reviews of requests for waivers and/or compromises when received from the Veteran and the recommendation of disposition. Oversees claims matching functions to ensure proper credit to the Veteran. Work Schedule:

Applicants who are current Federal employees and have held a GS grade any time in the past 52 weeks must also meet time-in-grade requirements by the closing date of this announcement. For a GS-09 position you must have served 52 weeks at the GS-07. The grade may have been in any occupation, but must have been held in the Federal service. An SF-50 that shows your time-in-grade eligibility must be submitted with your application materials. If the most recent SF-50 has an effective date within the past year, it may not clearly demonstrate you possess one-year time-in-grade, as required by the announcement. In this instance, you must provide an additional SF-50 that clearly demonstrates one-year time-in-grade. Note:

GS-09 Specialized
Experience:
You must have one year of specialized experience equivalent to at least the next lower grade GS-07 in the normal line of progression for the occupation in the organization. Examples of specialized experience would typically include, but are not limited to:
Leads team members in identifying, distributing and balancing workload and tasks in accordance with established work flow, skill level and/or occupational specialization. Coaches team members in selecting and applying appropriate problem solving methods and techniques while providing advice on work methods, practices and procedures and assisting them in identifying viable solutions. Handles conflicts and problems in dealing with the customer constructively and appropriately. Uses own initiative to implement accounts receivable guidelines and to resolve problems; seeking assistance from supervisor and other when appropriate. Actively participates in the planning, scheduling and conduct of studies, training programs and organizational strategies to identify opportunities to improve customer service and quality. Oversees claims matching functions to ensure proper credit to the Veteran. Prepares statistical reports for management. Note:
Evidence of specialized experience must be supported by detailed documentation of duties performed in positions held on your resume. You must provide work experience information such as hours per week, salary, and starting/ending dates of employment (month and year format) to establish you have one (1) full year of Specialized Experience at or comparable to the required grade level. OR, GS-09 Education:
Applicants may substitute education for the required experience. To qualify based on education for this grade level you must have a master's or equivalent graduate degree or 2 full years of progressively higher level graduate education leading to such a degree or LL.B. or J.D., if related. Experience:
Applicants may also possess equivalent combinations of successfully completed graduate education and specialized experience directly related to the work of the Supervisory Program Analystposition, which may be substituted to meet the experience requirements for the GS-09 position. For example, an applicant with 6 months of appropriate specialized experience equivalent to GS-07 (50 percent of the experience requirement for GS-09) and 1 year of successfully completed graduate education (18 semester hours), as is describe above, (50 percent of the education requirement for the GS-09) would qualify for a GS-09 position. Physical Requirements:
The work is primarily sedentary with long periods of sitting at a desk, working with computers daily. Some work may require walking in offices and similar areas for meetings. Work may also require walking and standing in conjunction with travel to and attendance at meetings and conferences away from the worksite. The work does not require any special physical effort. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
