Overview and Qualifications
Mission Health currently has the unique opportunity for physician candidates to become part of a remarkable tradition of care that has served this region for more than a century. We are currently seeking exceptional Pulmonary Critical Care Specialists to join the well-respected, 15 physician practice of Asheville Pulmonary and Critical Care Associates, an affiliate of Mission Health, based in Asheville, North Carolina.
Mission Health is western North Carolina's only not-for-profit, locally governed, independent healthcare system, and we are the regional referral center for the eighteen most western counties in our state and the adjoining region. Mission Health consists of seven hospitals, including Mission Children's Hospital and over 500 employed providers. Our system includes greater than 1,600 physicians on its medical staff of which over 350 are partners within Mission Medical Associates.
Asheville Pulmonary and Critical Care Associates provides regional expertise in asthma, interstitial lung disease, as well as lung cancer and interventional pulmonology at Mission Hospital in Asheville. The ideal candidate must be board certified or board eligible in pulmonary and critical care medicine. An interest in programmatic development and interventional pulmonology is welcome.
