Housekeeping Aid
Positions are custodial workers, performing work, which require mainly physical abilities and effort under general supervision.
Duties include the full range of cleaning duties in all areas of the Medical Center.
o The employee will clean and maintain various kinds of floor, wall, carpet, and ceiling surfaces such as wood and linoleum.
Removes stains from a variety of surfaces using chemicals and cleaning solutions.
o Operates powered cleaning equipment such as wall washers, industrial-type buffers, vacuums, and auto floor scrubbers.
Adjusts and performs minor maintenance on such equipment.
o Occasionally works on ladders and scaffolds to clean ceiling fixtures, wash walls, replace light bulbs, moving of furniture and perform similar tasks.
Housekeeping Aid positions are restricted by law to PREFERENCE ELIGIBLE VETERANS.
