Job Details:
The Private DutyCompanion provides help for the client in the home with everyday tasks that allows for independent living. Such services could include meal preparation, medication reminders, laundry, light housekeeping, respite care and/or escorting/driving clients for shopping, appointments and errands.
Essential Duties and ResponsibilityLevels:
- Provide companionship and conversation
- Plan, prepare and clean-up meals
- Monitor requested general habits & health behavior of client
- Arrange, remind and drive and/or escort client to requested appointments or events
- Attend to various requested household chores
- Change bedding, laundry and light housework
- Attend to requested pet care
Required
Qualifications:
- Completion of some high school
- Valid driver's license
- Able to work independently in the client's home
Preferred
Qualifications:
- Previous volunteer or work experience in a human service organizationEstimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.
