Posting Details Position Information Position Title Temporary Position - Recruitment and Marketing Coordinator Division Academic Affairs Department NC Center for Health and Wellness Position Summary Work closely with staff and faculty at Asheville MPH, UNC Gillings, UNC Asheville, and MAHEC to prepare marketing materials, plan recruitment presentations and activities, and prepare social media posts and news articles about UNC Asheville - UNC Gillings MPH Program faculty, staff, students, and activities.
Work collaboratively with UNC Asheville, UNC Gillings, and MAHEC to recruit students for and market the UNC Asheville - UNC Gillings MPH Program in Asheville.
Organize and manage recruitment processes including giving input into and finalizing an annual recruitment plan that includes activities scheduled each month and who is staffing them.
Adapt existing marketing materials including flyers and PowerPoint presentations.
Work closely with UNC Asheville and UNC Gillings admissions staff to schedule, plan, and attend recruitment events (virtual and in person).
Example:
Table/exhibit at 6 WNC community fairs or events, focusing on counties where students have had less interaction (Rutherford, Transylvania, Polk, Haywood, Macon, Jackson, Graham, Clay, Cherokee, Swain, Avery).
Plan social media and written articles about UNC Asheville - UNC Gillings MPH Program faculty, staff, students, Stewarding Group, and activities.
This position will need to use a vehicle to conduct recruiting business throughout Western North Carolina on a regular basis and occasionally in Chapel Hill or elsewhere in North Carolina.

REPORTING RELATIONSHIP:
Reports to the Co-Director of UNC Asheville - UNC Gillings MPH Program and receives direction from Student Services Director and all MPH core team (attends weekly staff and faculty operations meetings) as well as admissions and marketing teams at UNC Asheville, UNC Gillings, and MAHEC.
Attends regular staffulty meetings and meetings with supervisors.
Position Number Full-Time/Part-Time/Intermittent Part-Time (20-29 hours/week) Salary Information $25.
00/ hr Posting Detail Information Posting Number T0179 Minimum Education/Experience/Skills Bachelor's degree and at least three (3) years administrative experience required.
Required Licenses:
Valid driver's license issued in the United States required.
Must obtain North Carolina-issued driver's license within 90 days of employment.
Preferred Education/Experience/Skills Experience in higher education recruitment, student support, and/or career services preferred.
Conversational Spanish is helpful but not required.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities TECHNOLOGY SKILLS:
Proficiency in Google Docs and MS Office for word processing, spreadsheets, and slide sets.

Proficiency in video conferencing using virtual platforms (Zoom, WebEx, and/or Google Meet).
Ability to learn new software applications.
COMMUNICATION SKILLS:
Excellent interpersonal skills with individuals and is comfortable speaking before groups.
Ability to create a warm, welcoming environment for prospective students.
Strong organizational skills and strong follow through related to answering prospective students' questions and connecting prospective students to faculty, current students, and alumni.
Ability to work as an effective team member.
Excellent written and verbal skills.
Ability to maintain strict confidentiality related to prospective and current students' grades and educational experiences.
Work Schedule and Hours Position may work from home with regular attendance at MPH team meetings and onsite at MPH office at MAHEC.
Hours will vary each week based on scheduled events; evening or weekend hours are occasionally required for recruitment activities.
Work hours will need to be flexible in order to respond to special work assignments, or evening activities, as requested by the team leader.
FTE:
50% (roughly 20 hours a week, up to 25 in busy times), not benefited as is Timeframe:

The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
